The permanent exhibition of MHP «The Image of Photography in XIX-XX centuries»
includes all major stages in development of photography as a technological process.
There are daguerreotypes, ambrotypes, salted paper prints, wet collodion glass negatives, albumin, collodion and gelatin prints among exhibits.
The exhibition represents also wide scope of amateur and professional photographic equipment, from the legendary camera-obscura and «Leica» to the mammoth reproducing camera used in a secret research institute of the former USSR. It is organised in chronological order with additional emphasis on charasteristic features of the exhibits regarding genre and technology.
